I'm on Cloud 9, thanks to Rain

I was dreading the Friday morning meeting. Mainly bcos I wasn’t totally prepared to present my 3 months project. As usual, the meeting started wt the BOSS asking what we have been watching on tv lately. After 4 minutes on ‘Tribute to Diana Concert’ by the Princes which in my humble opinion wasn’t much to shout about in terms of the flow ‘maybe bcos it wasn’t meant for tv in the first place, when somebody brought up Rain Bangkok concert whereby that person thought would have my 100% approval compare to the British concert. At first I was quite embarrassed to be put in the spotlight (especially in a meeting attended by several serious looking people- who weren’t that close to me) and then another started telling bout Rain being sued by Rain Corp which I corrected them by saying the law suit has been dropped by the judge and Rain can continue using his name. I thought that was the end of it, then the BOSS started mentioning about an entry made by South Korea in one of the competition which he was one of the panel of judges where the subject was Rain concert in Madison Square which he praised was brilliantly done etc.

I couldn't believe my ears. Not bcos Rain doesn’t deserve the praise but the fact that there I was in my ‘week in progress meeting’ and several of my senior manager colleagues are discussing and praising Rain as early as 0945am!! That was too good to be true. I suddenly felt like a proud parent!! I’m like grinning from ear to ear and clapping quietly in delight. That gesture didn’t escape my BOSS which he exclaimed by saying well, I can see that somebody is very pleased and smiled at me. At that juncture, everybody else also looked at me and clapped their hands as well. I felt on top of the world. It’s AS IF I had to do with the success of Rain concert. Ha! Ha! Not only people associated wt Rain bcome famous, his fan like me also can have their moments of glory like this. So my gloomy Friday morning, turned out ‘rainbowly’ okay after all.

Finally it was 5:32pm. I was queuing to use the toilet. Everybody was rushing to use the toilet before their drive home. I still had quite a number of things to finish before I can hit home. I reckon maybe at quarter to seven I can hit home. Suddenly I heard a voice calling out to me. One of the Chinese Channel directors was walking towards me. I was about to ask when she suddenly handed me a namecard holder which has Rain pictures on it. I literally went aaaaaaaa!!!!!! in the ladies. That’s when she said ‘I heard you are into Rain, so I got this for you!’ (I know! I know! It sounds almost too good to be true right? But that was exactly what happened to me today). Then we were joined by a promo producer who reminded me to show her my shaky video of Rain concert in Bangkok which I promised her sometime ago. And she ended up telling my tale of being so lucky to see the concert in Bkk to the next girl in line when it was my turn to go into the vacant toilet.

So needless to say that today was a good Friday for me, thanks to Rain.
